MARCOS QUEIJEIRO

My name is Marcos and I am in charge of content editing and internal communication at Canarias Archipiélago Sostenible.

My professional career has taken me through various paths in the area of communication, but my commitment to the environment began very early on. I was born and raised in empty Spain, where scarcity of resources is the general rule and where ingenuity is sharpened to take advantage of the few opportunities that arise.

But it is not only the physical environment that needs to be taken care of, people are the main asset and engine of change that a place has and, most of the time, it is not taken into account as much as it should be. I have been an LGTB activist since the 90s and that makes me very sensitive to the struggle for human rights and the dignity of the most forgotten people. Therefore, my work in the area of internal communication is guided by the interest of looking after the good and care of those who will make it possible to achieve the objectives of the association: its members.
